College is not my learning experience

One thing that I have learned is that college is just the starting point of what you will really learn in the real world. I started college off thinking that I would learn everything I would need to know to get a great job and do it well. But since finishing, I have learned that it is not always that simple. There are a lot of factors to getting a job, and many times the employer will want you to have some type of experience. College not being one of them. This is how I can see if you never went to school but know the right person, you are better than that person with the degree.

Couldn’t we all agree that many times its not what you know but who you know, or how well you impress the employer to get the job? This is just one of the simple things I am beginning to realize since applying for jobs.
